Good evening Paddler
The club wants to send huge congratulations to 12 club members who last weekend qualified as paddlesport instructors.
Congratulations to Ben, Matt, Chris, Harrison, Penny, Jodi, Ed and Ed, Guy, Daryll, Chris and Derek, who all braved the weather, and the cold water to learn about delivering sessions and demonstrate their rescue skills. Over the next few months you will see them helping out on club sessions and at the pool.
Don’t forget that the club AGM is on Saturday the 2nd of November at 1pm. Sandwiches and refreshments are available from 12 noon, the AGM will be at the Paddle UK conference rooms at Holme Pierrepont.
Please email the secretary Ian Law – secretary@hppcc.co.uk if you would like lunch providing so we can cater for the right number, and let him know of any dietary needs.
If you would be interested in supporting the club in any way, whether through helping with social media, looking after kit, doing some admin, supporting as a trustee, then please do speak with Ian Law as the club always needs people to help out and support. If everyone does a little then no-one has to do a lot.
Finally, whilst it might seem a long time until Christmas, there will be a social gathering again on the 14th of December at 7.30 at the Malt Cross Nottingham. More details to come, but put the date in your diary for a social get together.
If you are able to come and help teach rolling at our pool sessions then please sign up for these using the instructor sign up on the booking portal so we know who is attending the sessions. We appreciate all offers of help. Regular helpers will be offered a DBS check for safeguarding purposes.
