Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP)

What is stand up paddle boarding?

Stand up Paddle boarding or ‘SUP’ for short is one of the fastest growing waters sports in the world. Using a very large, stable board (similar to a surfboard) and a single blade paddle you can navigate your way along coastlines, canals, rivers and lakes. You can paddle on your knees or on your feet if you have the balance and it’s a great way to experience the outdoors and an enjoyable means of getting some good exercise.

The world of SUP has many different aspects you can take part in, from recreational disciplines like Touring, White-water and Sea to competitive disciplines such as Surf and Racing.

How can I get involved?

If you would like to have a go or get involved come along to our Saturday morning club sessions and ask any coach for information and they will point you in the right direction.

We also run introduction, development and safety and rescue courses across the year along with Instructor, coaching and leadership courses for anyone wanting to develop further.

We have a large range of club equipment for both beginners and the more experienced paddler to try out.
