Activities at the Club this month

Dear Paddler

Welcome to April and hopefully some weather more suitable for paddling.
This weekend sees the club running our annual national Slalom race which is a GB selection weekend so will see paddlers from across the country gathering at HPP for racing each day.  Do come and enjoy the spectacle of the UKs best slalom paddlers on the course.
However, please note that this means that the car park will be very busy, so please allow extra time for walking to the club and the course, as you may have to park in the other car parks.  Please note there will be no on grass parking available due to the ground being so wet.
From Monday, Andrew Good is restarting the weekly Freestyle sessions on the course (water levels permitting).
Club playboating returns
Under 18 Mondays
From April 15th we will be back on the course at HPP.  This is open to all juniors from those wanting to have a mess about with mates to getting coached by world class athletes. The key to these sessions is to build confidence and community.
Over 18 Fridays (intro to playboating)
From April 19th we will be back on the course at HPP.  These sessions are a great way to mess about without the fear of failure.  Adult playtime is great and these sessions are perfect to grow confidence and have a laugh.
Both sessions will be weekly bookings and can be booked on the booking portal via the club website.
Contact freestyle@hppcc.co.uk for information.
We are looking forward to seeing some new faces at these sessions.
Saturday coached sessions will resume from the 20th of April, and will be posted to the portal next week.  These are sessions for those who might want coaching or for new or inexperienced paddlers.
We look forward seeing you at club sessions shortly.
Paddle safely wherever you go.
Kind regards
Dawn
