This is the place to start if you want to come paddling…
If you are new to the sport, haven’t done any paddling for years, want to gain some personal paddling awards or just want to get going again, then please come to one of our Saturday Sessions between Easter and November. Outside of these times, it gets just a little too chilly and we would hate to put you off! Ideally, please bring your whole family! It’s great fun!
The Saturday Sessions run from 9.30 am to 12 noon every Saturday throughout the year, except Bank Holiday Weekends.
Club sessions are booked through the booking portal, please read the information about the session to ensure that it is right for your needs. Payment is made online. We do not accept any cash payments within the club.
For more details on club sessions please visit the Club Sessions page.
A Gentle Start
Don’t worry, we won’t send you down the White Water Course! Our session is mainly based on the Lagoon. This is the small sheltered lake near to White Water Control, near the top of the White Water Course.
What to Wear
You need to ensure that you are dressed for the weather and water conditions. The water can be cold at any time of the year and it is very easy to get chilled and quickly miserable once you are damp or wet. We like to see happy paddlers!
Please dress in warm, light, layered clothing (not cotton as this is very cold when wet!) with a light windproof jacket if it is breezy. Jeans are not recommended as they are cotton and will be uncomfortable when wet. Wear some old trainers that you don’t mind getting wet, as footwear must be worn at all times, and bring a dry change of clothes and your shower kit.
If you haven’t brought a change of clothing then you may not be allowed on the water.
- Wet suits can be worn if you have them but they are not essential.
- Showers are available in the changing rooms.
From October to March we ask parents to be available at short notice as if a child gets wet or cold we will take them off the water and the coach cannot always be available to look after them whilst they get changed and until the end of the session.
