Freestyle (playboat) sessions for younger paddlers

Dear Paddler

Are you an aspiring play boater or freestyle paddler?

From this Thursday the club will be running beginner/intermediate freestyle sessions for any young paddler (older paddlers there will be other opportunities coming) keen to start or improve their playboating.
The sessions will be run by Matt Chadder, who is a level 4 coach and runs the Young Guns festivals aimed at getting under 18s involved in freestyle.
The sessions will be about fun and building confidence, so there is zero pressure to attempt anything you are unsure of. For those who have never been in a playboat we will start on the lake and for those that have, then it’s up to you where you want to go.
The session will be 1800-1930, the cost will be normal club fees for either the flat, Backchannels or WW course.
Anyone interested please email Andrew on
so he can gauge numbers.
Currently we are limited by how many boats we have so if you have your own please bring it along.

Medal bearers wanted for Freestyle World Championships

Hopefully you are aware that Holme Pierrepont is hosting the World Freestyle Championships 27th June- 2nd July. This is a very exciting event and a chance to see some incredible displays of skill, where hopefully some of our local paddlers will bring home some medals.
This presents the opportunity to be a medal bearer. Any under 18 that wants to present a medal please let us know by email
Any adult that wants to volunteer a bit of time please let us know as there are still spots open.

Once we have interest for the Thursday nights we will set up the session for you to book on EOLA through the website as normal.

Kind regards
Dawn
