Introduction to Slalom for juniors, Paddle safer course and first aid course

Good evening Paddler

There are still spaces on the paddle safer course this Saturday afternoon, this course is ideal for those who have gained control of their craft and want to explore how to stay safe and support others as part of a paddling group or on a trip.
Will Coney has now taken over running our Slalom section and he will be running a series of introduction to Slalom sessions for junior paddlers during the summer holidays.
These sessions are aimed at young paddlers between 8 and 12 years old and are running on the 14th, 16th 19th and 20th of August.
If you are interested in supporting your child, or grandchildren to get into Slalom as a discipline then why not book them on.  Please also feel free to spread this information as widely as possible to non-club members as we want to be able to recruit a new cohort of junior slalom paddlers.
If you want more information, please contact Will at Slalom@hppcc.co.uk
The club has organised for spaces on a 16 hour first aid course for club coaches, leaders and instructors.  Current Coaches, Leaders and Instructors will have their course fees fully funded for them, potential coaches or leaders should check with their section trustee as to whether funding is available for them.
The course is being held at Birstall in Leicestershire, which is easily accessible from the A46 from Nottingham.  Those wanting to attend should complete the booking link below.
For queries about the first aid course please speak to Dawn.
