I’m going to send out a seperate email about the family fun day this week.
If you’re not on the water at the moment I’m afraid you are making poor life choices and need to get down to the club ASAP!
As ever, if you want to be on the ever expanding WhatsApp community let me know.
Welcome to the Marco Polo canoe club
We are really pleased to welcome the Marco Polo club into the fold of HPPCC. They get together Tuesdays (6pm) on the lake, play some polo and have fun whilst doing it.
If you like the sound of that why not give David Rogers an email on polo@hppcc.uk and ask about getting involved.
Of course they are in the WhatsApp community, it’s all the rage these days.
We have a booking link got the sessions on EOLA here: Tuesday Polo Training
Compound help
As the summer is getting stacked out with events and the compound needs some TLC, Simon the compound guy, would like people to get in touch to organise smaller working parties. On the list of jobs: boat repairs, weeding, kit audits, new racking.
So if you have a free afternoon or a regular time slot that needs filling, we would appreciate the support.
Contact Simon on kit@hppcc.uk
Trustee succession
As you all know from when you attended last years AGM we have altered the constitution to allow for more fluidity in the trustees of the club.
Helping out on the committee is rewarding and allows for some really creative thinking.
If you have knowledge on safeguarding, inclusion, environmental work, people management, safety management or just like the idea of supporting the community, this could be for you.
Over the last year or so we have worked hard in updating a lot of the club’s inner workings so you will be entering a well polished machine.
We schedule meetings as and when they are needed (roughly every 6 weeks), usually lasting 1-2 hours.
So if you would like to give a bit back to the club and have ideas on how to improve things, let me know.
Thanks for reading this fully, if you say the password “Aero” at your next session you win a prize.
Merci
Andrew
