Good evening Paddler
I am delighted to let you know that we have now been able to release a series of dates for courses over the summer months.
Our last Stand up Paddleboard course was fantastic, even if Graham chose the four windiest evenings possible. So back by popular demand Graham is running another 4 week course.
Running from the 15th of June – 6th of July on Thursday nights the course will run from 6.15pm to 7.30pm and club equipment will be available to be used. Suitable for novice or improving paddleboarders, this will be a great chance to get quality coaching and improve your skills, and learn about paddleboard safety.
Also available will be SUP coaching on the 3rd and 17th of June on a Saturday morning for those who can’t make the Thursday night sessions.
Again back by popular demand are the British Canoeing Paddle Safer courses, designed for improving paddlers on flat water these courses are designed to give you a great introduction to rescue skills and to get you thinking about paddling safely as part of a group. British Canoeing certification is available for this course.
These courses of 2 and a half hours will run on June the 24th, August the 5th and August the 19th from 1pm until 3.30pm on a Saturday afternoon.
These courses are strongly recommended for club paddlers who want to go on club trips, as it will help you stay safe, and be able to support other paddlers within the group if they need it.
Also back by popular demand is an intensive weekend training course for improving paddlers, leading to the Explore award. Ideal for those who have completed their Discover Award, and want to improve their skills. Paddling for the whole weekend will really give your skills a boost and you will either leave with your explore award, or an action plan to achieving it.
All of these courses can be booked through the eola booking portal https://widget.eola.co/1027 on the club website.
If you are unsure about which course might be right for you then please contact us, and we will put you in touch with the course organiser so that they can discuss it with you, or chat with one of the coaches at the regular sessions.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
Kind regards
Dawn Scott
