Next weekend will see a major festival of Stand up Paddleboarding on the White Water Course. This is not an exclusive event so the course will still be open but there might be quite a lot of SUPs on the course, and following Paddles UK advice they won’t be wearing leashes, so there might be quite a lot of boards floating around.
As part of that event a Stadium Safety award is being run by Matt Evans and he would like to offer any club paddlers a 25% discount on the price (price includes certification fee and water fee). These are running 10-2 both Saturday and Sunday.

The club will also be running a some of these Stadium Safety Award courses over the summer with dates to be announced shortly.
Whilst the event is a SUP event, the Stadium Safety Award course will be open to paddlers of any craft that are confident on the White Water course.
In another development our slalom section are advertising for a qualified coach to take a group of new paddlers through learning the basic skills, to paddling on the Daleks and backchannels. This would be a paid post with weekly work, working as a self employed coach. It would be weekly from July onwards, and applicants don’t need specific slalom skills but do need to be qualified.
