Paddling at Holme Pierrepont: Health, Wellbeing and Safeguarding on the Water – Research project

Dear Paddler

Please see below some information from Sarah Vernau who is working with the club on an exciting research project.  Many people tell us that paddling supports their wellbeing or mental health and this project will look at gathering evidence from paddlers.

We hope that as many people as possible will engage with this community research project so that we can explore as a club how to better support paddlers.

Paddling at Holme Pierrepont: Health, Wellbeing and Safeguarding on the Water

My name is Sarah Vernau and in conjunction with HPPCC and Nottingham Trent University’s Co(l)laboratory programmeImresearching the affects of paddlesport on our physical and mental wellbeing.

I’m looking for help from club members who are willing to spare around 30-40 minutes of their time to chat to me about their experiences of paddling and the impact of health and mental wellbeing of being on the water.

It is hoped that by exploring your experiences, we will be better able to understand the effects of paddling on physical and mental health and overall wellbeing at the club.

If you could spare around 30 minutes of your time for a chat either facetoface or online, please get in touch on sarah.vernau@ntu.ac.uk or 07974091625

Many thanks for your help!

Please contact Sarah directly if you are interested in taking part.

Kind regards

Dawn
