Trips, For Sale items, Pool sessions, Open Canoe training and AGM reminder

Dear Paddler

A mix of items for you to tonight.
Two trips have been arranged for next year, both of which will need early commitment if you want to book campsites.
Trevor is running a trip to Ullswater in May 2024 over the weekend of the 11th and 12th of May.  Accommodation in the Lake District is always at a premium, so if you would like to attend this trip please liaise with Trevor and book accommodation quickly. Recreation@hppcc.co.uk
A future date for your diary is the 8th and 9th of June for the annual Wye Weekend, if you want to stay on Lucksall Camping and Caravan park then we would advise booking the campsite early, as it fills up quickly.  Contact HPPCC@btinternet.com for more information.
Please note that for both of the above trips you will need to transport boats to the event, the club trailer will not be going.
Over the last few weeks we have had a few people asking how they can sell equipment on to other paddlers, so we have decided to do a For Sale newsletter special.
If you have any items, large or small for sale then please send at least 1 photo of the item, a full description, including size and condition, the price that you are asking for it, and your contact details.  We will then compose these into a newsletter and circulate to the whole club.
Please send any items to Dawn at Hppcc@btinternet.com and we will compile the newsletter for you.  All items for sale should be received by the 30th of September and the newsletter will go out the following week.
Information about this years pool sessions will be coming out at the end of next week so look out for the email detailing the sessions and how to book.
Mike Taylor is looking to take his Canoe Leader award over the winter and would like to work with a group of paddlers on improving their moving water skills, and attending the assessment as his student group.
If you would like to get some moving water canoe skills under your belt then please contact Mike on shopaholic_321@me.com and he will explain what is involved.  This will be a great chance to paddle some new water, and improve your skills.  Paddlers should be competent paddling open canoe on flat water.
Finally, a reminder that the Club AGM is on Saturday.
It is timed so that it flows on from after the Saturday session, a light sandwich/salad lunch is available for those who request food in advance using this form https://forms.gle/rbbZFm8R6nztVsB5A

All are welcome to attend the AGM without booking, but food will only be available for those who have booked it in advance.
As always if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Kind regards
Dawn
