Dear Paddler
I am just writing out to clear up any confusion that might exist about the pool sessions. It is 18 months since we were last able to offer pool sessions and many members are new since then.
The pool sessions run in addition to the regular evening and Saturday morning sessions.
They take place at the Ken Martin Leisure Centre at Bulwell on a Saturday afternoon from 3.45 to 5.15pm.
The cost for a block of 4 sessions is £28 (before Christmas) and single sessions (after Christmas) are £7. If you pay standing order fees to the club for specific coaching sessions the pool fees will be in addition to your normal standing order fees as we have to cover the costs of both the pool and the lifeguard.
Paddler numbers will be capped at 24 per session.
Only pool boats will be able to be used, no personal kit will be permitted.
Paddlers will only be permitted to arrive 5 minutes before the start of the session, so should arrive changed, and spectators regrettably are not permitted to wait on the poolside or in the building.
The sessions are run in conjunction with Nottingham Kayak Club as we share the costs and the coaching responsibilities, paddlers therefore may be coached by coaches from either club.
Bookings will open at 8pm tomorrow evening.
